Three teenagers charged over the alleged bashing of a 15-year-old boy with autism in Stawell were already back in the community less than a day after their arrest on Tuesday.
A 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds fronted the Children’s Court and were released on bail. Northern Grampians Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged them with affray, robbery, recklessly cause injury and theft. They were arrested after warrants were executed at their addresses. A fourth boy who wasn’t there at the time is expected to be interviewed later.
