A double-storey brick home at 2 Matlock Court was firebombed overnight on 3 May 2026, with two cars in the driveway deliberately torched and flames spreading to the roof and part of the residence. Fire Rescue Victoria crews arrived within minutes of the call shortly before midnight and brought the blaze under control. No one was injured, but a family of five - including an elderly couple and children - was evacuated safely with the assistance of a private security guard who had been patrolling the street following warnings of a potential attack.
