The five-week Supreme Court trial of Jaeden Tito and Rabii Zahabe over the daylight execution of underworld enforcer Gavin “Capable” Preston has kicked off today, with a jury formally empanelled just after 11.30am.

Justice Michael O’Connell briefly summarised the Crown case to the panel during empanelment, telling them Tito and Zahabe are accused of pulling up in a stolen grey Audi Q5 outside Sweet Lulus cafe in Keilor Village on September 9, 2023, before opening fire.
