Victoria’s putting a lock on the door. Not a press conference lock. An actual one.

From today, Tobacco Licensing Victoria and Victoria Police can hit a shop selling illegal smokes with an immediate 90-day closure order. The Magistrates’ Court can then keep it shut longer and landlords get the green light to rip up the lease. Ignore the order and you’re looking at fines up to $2.5 million and up to 20 years inside.
