One Nation says it has built a hi-tech machine to weed out nightmare candidates. Court records, police warrants and the party's own words show what that machine still misses.
The claim is big. James Ashby, Pauline Hanson's long-time right-hand man, has said the party has "secret methods" and "tech… and psychological tests" that give it "the one-upmanship over the other parties". General manager Kelvin Morton has said the system looks at "financial, criminal, civil litigation" and does a "very comprehensive deep dive" into social media. A One Nation spokesperson has said the new vetting process was rolled out in 2026 and is used on candidates and branch coordinators across the country.
